Privacy Policy

Botpresso SEO Tools is a private, internal tool. It reads Google Search Console performance data (clicks and impressions) and writes weekly totals into a Google Sheet owned by our team. It does not sell, share, or advertise with any data.
Who we are
This tool is operated by Botpresso ("we", "us"). It is used only by our team to prepare SEO performance reports for websites we manage.
What data we access
When an authorized account connects the tool, Google asks for permission to:
- View Search Console data (
webmasters.readonly): the list of Search Console properties the account can access, and search performance totals such as clicks and impressions for chosen date ranges, pages and queries. - See the account's email address (
openid,email): shown in the tool's settings so the team knows which account is connected.
The access is read-only. The tool cannot change anything in Search Console, and it does not access Gmail, Google Drive files, contacts, or any other Google data.
How we use the data
- To calculate weekly clicks and impressions for the pages and query filters defined in our reporting sheet.
- To write those totals into the reporting Google Sheet.
- To send alert emails to our team if a report update fails.
We do not use the data for advertising, profiling, or training machine learning models.
Where the data is stored
- Report numbers are stored in the reporting Google Sheet, which is shared only with authorized team members.
- The connection key (an OAuth refresh token) is stored privately in the Google Apps Script project attached to that sheet, inside Google's infrastructure.
We do not run our own servers or databases for this tool, and no data is copied outside Google's services.
Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share Google user data with third parties. Data is visible only to team members who have access to the reporting sheet.
Retention and deletion
Report numbers stay in the reporting sheet for as long as we keep the report. The connection key is kept until the tool is disconnected or reset. You can remove the tool's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions; this immediately stops all access to Search Console data. To ask us to delete data, contact us using the email below.
Google API Services User Data Policy
Botpresso SEO Tools' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Security
Access to the tool and the reporting sheet is limited to trusted team members. All communication with Google APIs uses encrypted HTTPS connections.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the tool uses data, we will update this page and its effective date.
